My insurance company contacted ServiceMaster of Tacoma when I reported a water pipe break in the master bath shower on 2/16. Austyn, the scheduler at ServiceMaster, called the same day, and the team arrived that afternoon. Jackson and Nolan were knowledgeable, respectful, kind and worked hard to remove the damaged walls/flooring. On Friday, 2/20, the damaged area was ready for the rebuild.

Delightful experience with ServiceMaster
Delightful experience when ServiceMaster packed all belongings for full room carpet replacement. Three ladies, Cherie, Carly and Ana, worked for two days to prepare items for movers. They were respectful of all property and asked questions when unsure of how I wanted an item packed. They worked quickly with great energy.
The next day, three men came to move some items, which included an antique piano to the garage, and loaded other items on their truck to remove to storage. They worked quickly and completed the moving in two hours. They did not have a card for me for their names, but were very respectful and took great care during the move.
I have had many experiences with ServiceMaster providing different services in my house, mainly with water leaks. I have never been unhappy with the completed job. I will happily recommend ServiceMaster to friends and family.

Now, the final stage of our time with ServiceMaster Tacoma, the pack back of the items cleaned and salvaged following a fire. Jimmy, the team leader, Jose, Eloin, Elijah, Damon, and Richard were brilliant. Several of them were present for the pack out and engaged with levels of kindness and remembering the setting and situation despite the hundreds of people and homes they have helped over the past 7 months. Literally hundreds of boxes unloaded and household items reconstructed in their original place without a wince or grumble with all of the stairs and endless motion. Again, a team that is sensitive to the human impacts of these life tragedies that puts a positive spin, level of professionalism and sets the focus for the overwhelming next steps in this deconstruct process.

ServiceMaster of Tacoma teams are not only experts in their field, but they pay attention to the human impact of what happens to those who experience loss and tragedy in their lives. Hailey Hagen provided immediate response to our house fire to assess needs, completed photo capture in every room that has been a saving grace in the process with the insurance company. Once ready, the pack out and sort team, led by Lupe, accompanied by Niki and Victoria, performed the arduous task of sifting through 37 years of home ownership and following protocol for what is to be destroyed and what can be cleaned and salvaged. A lifetime of treasures and memories seen in clear bags with yellow tape at the neck with a note 'TLI' (total loss, inventoried), to be disposed of as well as other big things that won't fit in a bag to be 'TLI'd' are scaring at best on one's soul--just stuff ultimately, but important stuff. Lupe, Niki, and Victoria were consistently strong, kind, and incredibly efficient, having to process the entire house yet being mindful I was present and aware.
What I will always remember about this initial phase of the recovery process after a house fire is the swift professionalism and education from Hailey Hagen at the onset and the subsequent awesomeness of Lupe, Niki, and Victoria that helped us push forward and keep moving ahead no matter how daunting and sad the loss felt.

We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional service provided by Ivan, a foreman with ServiceMaster, and his dedicated technicians. When we experienced a water leak, they responded swiftly, arriving at our home within just a few hours.
They immediately got to work, identifying the extent of the water damage, which had seeped into our floors, baseboards, and even our basement walls and ceiling. Over the following days, Ivan efficiently set up drying equipment and carefully removed damaged carpet, baseboards, and drywall as needed.
Throughout this entire process, Ivan demonstrated remarkable speed, efficiency, and profound knowledge in his field. Beyond his technical expertise, he was consistently friendly and approachable. On 4/23/2025 Lupe and her team (Victoria, Niki, and Savannah) came to pack up our garage contents. The team was amazing and did a great job packing our stuff. They were very friendly and respectful and I really enjoyed my time with them. They took great care in packing and even took my old cardboard boxes to their recycling bin.
Today, Jimmy and his team (Jose and Elijah) came to pick up our garage contents that the packing crew boxed on 4/23. I have a classic pinball machine and original Ms. Pac-Man. They were extremely careful with them and protected them well for shipping. This team was very friendly and super conscientious.

Extremely satisfied with my extensive mold remediation work. Katie Cole, project manager, was very easy to work with and extremely responsive. When screws were broken, she went over and above to locate, send by overnight mail for a cost of $200 for $10 screws. On the final Friday, two senior people came to reconstruct my shelving, and Mary and Miguel finished putting everything back in order. (I had surgery scheduled the next Monday).
I will say coordination with all parties is extremely important. My insurance adjuster recommended a contractor, who recommended Service Master. All parties were in contact throughout the project, which made everything easier.
